@OutofPrintArchive Street Fighter II, Contra III/Super Probotector and LoZ:LttP just dropped, that was a great time for gaming and the fun of that generation was just getting started

While the first year of a new system can be super slow and really disappointing at times, the Super Nintendo had an amazing start.

While the summer months after launch were very quiet. Once we got to the end of August, the releases just kept coming, one incredible game after another.

This is my actual pick up list from back in the day. Just the prices have been converted from Belgian Franks to Euros.

Sales charts are always interesting to see how they (dont) match up to the (perceived) quality of the games.

And this confused me for a good few seconds honestly:

!!! They knew something we didn't! :blobcatscared:

😅

But yeah, sales charts are always a fascinating insight of the times.
You always have certain quality games in there, but without fail there are some licensed or shovel ware titles that really shouldn't have seen the sales they did.

I'm inclined to say that's only normal as back in those days, I did also buy games by looking at the boxes in stores at times.
But even these days, terrible games sell loads all the time.
