I'm no Party Pennant-waver and I think "patriotism" is a dumb abstract measurement of anything and an actual operative substitute for simple rationally throught-out policy prescriptions, so I don't really like to stack MY patriotism against someone else's but, that being said, it's also a pretty goddamn easy thing to do when you MAGA twats just tried to do an actual fascist coup d'etat to end America as a constitutional republic, innit?

I didn't want the courts to f up, and they didn't here in WI, but only by ONE VOTE, and the guy has been pilloried by his party ever since. A small part of me wants them to know how angry we really were. The other part knows that, had the coup run out, and the courts capitulated, violence would have ensued. We were waiting waiting waiting in WI for the court cases to conclude. No one wants to protest in January in WI, but we know from Scott Walker, people WILL show up.

@GrimmReality That's quite vivid imagery. I don't get it, either. The most amusing part is that every bit of MAGA merch is some kind of grift. It's like wearing a sandwich board that proclaims one is, in fact, a member of the suckers that have been born every minute since time immemorial.
If I was completely devoid of all moral fiber and a dedicated con, I would look to that crew for easy pickings.
