@kissane Gosh, just opened bluesky and saw that it’s really your social home! I know many other twitter pals are there but…has the damn app improved to usability? or are there third party apps? also, I do heart the fedi, for all its faults. I mean, it’s FediVision season!
@bittersweetdb I really don’t post all that much there, but I have this last day or two! (I only use the web interface but they’ve been changing things quite quickly across the board.)
@bittersweetdb I wanted to get back to this and note that a funny thing happened socially with bsky and fedi, which is that most of my closest friends who are online are here, but not posting much, and then the vast majority (maybe 90%) of my friendly acquaintances and former colleagues went to bsky, many after bouncing off fedi. So if I'm going to grumble about something with shared context to anyone besides my group chats, it's bsky or nowhere.
@sire Bluesky still exists, Jack is a tragic dipshit who is criticizing them publicly for moderating, at all, anything, ever. He closed his account months ago and is now off the board.
@sire That was my tl;dr summary of the article for the many people responding by saying they won’t read it. I read your response as that, maybe mistakenly. But Bluesky is humming along exactly as it was before! (For better and worse.)
@kissane Not gonna lie, I couldn't even make it through that italicized introduction part at first. On the other hand, it was sufficiently...itself, to be clear this wasn't something you were endorsing.
These are not serious people. They come across as either overgrown teenagers cosplaying as serious people...or as I fear more likely, unserious people desperately trying to recapture their misspent youth.
It's like the capital equivalent of a boy band with a one-hit wonder.

Such a dipshit and I wouldn't bother except I am constantly being yelled at for not believing he controls Bluesky.
@leapingwoman I just need something to point to every time a dozen people elect to lecture me about how Jack Dorsey runs Bluesky and I'm a bootlicker for not acknowledging it etc etc
