It has a few shortcomings (it tends to bring up the same News and ignores other links), and recently I've started using Akregator as well (works better, but no search on feed names - only on articles, fewer options, and the reporting in the systray is unreadable). I've tried others, but none are powerful enough for the number of links I need to track for this site.
Is there anyone who could take over the maintenance of QuiteRSS?
@Le_bottin_des_jeux_linux I kinda feel the same. A shame really considering it's the only tool that really got me into usable RSS feeds. All the other options felt inferior in so many ways.
@Le_bottin_des_jeux_linux if I understood right, the only true problem that made QuiteRss drop is the "rendering" part that went obsolete (webkit). Wish they considered using some more minimalistic engines likes dillo. But I feel like it'd be a major task (C is scary to delve into too).

I hadn't thought of that, but rendering HTML pages is like maintaining a web browser.
Too bad there aren't any ready-to-use frameworks based on open-source engines such as Firefox (gecko?) or Chrome.
It's also a pity to bother rendering in an RSS reader when I personally don't use them, preferring to launch links in my web browsers (I have several depending on my uses).
An RSS reader in text mode (but powerful and with a nice interface) would suffice.
