@paul oh yah, my quip was about how I’m annoyed that Dell lists this as also being an HDR monitor despite the laughably low nit count, but rereading my reply that’s not terribly clear
@paul I'm not sure what I'd do with one at that pixel density—for 8K I'd want more area than 32" diagonal but that probably just means I'm not the target demo.
@paul Link is broken for me, maybe country based redirect or so. But according to the CES announcement that thing wasn‘t HDR. Might have a Vesa HDR label, but most of those besides the brightes one and the OLED one aren‘t really requiring the monitor to achieve a HDR image.
Aesthetics aside, the built-in KVM is SUPER INTERESTING. (And the aesthetics don’t really bother me, if the camera is good. But I know it’ll bother you!)
@paul the hub on this thing looks solid as well... one thunderbolt cable for charging, monitor, ethernet, etc, without a dock... I started drooling but then scrolled back up to that camera bulge and I think I'll hold off for now.
@paul yeah, I have a hard time imagining a world where my 32” 4K HDR monitor isn’t good enough for me. But I’m not a pro video editor or whatever, so there’s that
