I made the mistake of turning on MSNBC for a second right after #Iowa was (surprise 🙄) called for #Trump. They were quoting some of the voters, and those voters were saying that (their) God chose Trump.
Then an MSNBC commentator (rightfully) made the point that nobody running against Trump could possibly compete with that.
At that point, I turned off the TV. I cannot stomach watching one second of this alarming, nauseating BS.
The evangelical End Times narrative calls for an AntiChrist, but it's always been assumed he would be a plausible liberal promoting world peace. They've changed the model.
@GottaLaff World's going to burn because of that mug. I seriously am beginning to think that this is the ending of the world as we've known it. The Dark Ages are coming, again. The horrible thing is...we can see it coming, and sane folks are doing nothing solid to stop it... Hand wringing isn't going to save us from this wick headed maniac. Things are about to get really real and voices are going to be lost...
I was watching Beef on Netflix. Simple road rage turned into a 10 episode series. It won a bunch of Emmys tonight. It’s actually quite hilarious, stupid, well written, terrific story development and just all around very good. The antidote to Ted Lasso (Christ, what an unwatchable show).
@GottaLaff Listening NPR give media space to Trump's cronies after they called the caucus for the orange would-be god-king and letting them spew more lies and attempt to whitewash his trials was equally as stomach wrenching.
@GottaLaff The entry polls are not promising, but I'd love to see Nikki Haley really finish off Ron DeSantis tonight by finishing second. I want #Trump to have to keep campaigning for the nomination and not be able to pivot immediately to the general, as well. So I'm still checking in for those reasons.
