@va3db After much consideration, I’m starting with a Yaesu FT-65R. Want to get to know a bunch more about the practical aspects of things before I start digging into what I think will be my modus operandi (looking to do QRP/POTA/SOTA-type stuff). But first, like I said, LEARNING! :)

@braydenwise QRP with a decent antenna is fun! If you backpack you can get a backpacking radio and a LiFePO4 battery.

@qrper @VE2UWY @AE4WX @braydenwise @va3db It is nice of all of expressing your feelings about my #hamradio #AmateurRadio #pota #parksontheair activities. Especially to be mentioned in the same sentence with @qrper Thomas #K4SWL. I'm just a simple man enjoying a hobby I got introduce to in 1956. Still enjoying this journey after all these years. Hope all of you find as much enjoyment with it as I do.
