DevOps Architect - Was born for it. So many details. So many different technologies. I’ve been in IT for 25 years. I learn constantly. Keeps it fresh. And when I can’t focus I just spin around and play Gran Turismo until I can concentrate.
The rich own the people that decide taxes. They own the media that influences the masses. In many cases, they even own the prisons thereby giving them incentive to “encourage” lawmakers to make more stringent laws to put more citizens in prison. The rich own everything. Our entire culture is rigged to give them more money and more power. The only advantage we have is numbers. Sometimes, violence is the only choice. They certainly wouldn’t hesitate to use it against you. They would just get the “authorities” to do it for them.
A big-thinking Slovenian startup has created a curious smart security camera that doesn’t just spy on your visitors, but will actively open fire on potential intruders with paintball pellets – or even tear gas rounds – with “ultra high precision.” What could possibly go wrong?
First strike rounds. They actually have fins. Very unlikely that’s what they’re using.
Accuracy through volume. If you throw enough paint downrange you eventually hit the target. I guess that’s not technically precision. But it does get the job done.
I got the 5 a few years back. Great printer but I didn’t like the bounce in the platform so I printed stabilizers. Didn’t like the placement of the extruder moved it up top. Added the HeroMe. Still didn’t like the bounce of the plate so added a second z-axis. Added direct drive extruder. Linear rails. SKR mini. AC bed heater. Klipper. Mosquito Magnum. Prolly some other stuff. About the only original parts are the frame. I used it to learn how to print. And I printed some great stuff along the way. But it’s good now. I pretty much just print. But I really like that Bondtech LGX. Might have to try that out. :-D
Hearing Europeans mock how much we pay for health care never gets old. I mean, the stupid high bills just don’t get the point across. I would be ecstatic with a single payer system supported by taxes. A system that doesn’t rely on an insurance company whose sole purpose is to deny me the coverage I am due. My favorite part is the fake astronomical prices they put on stuff just to charge insurance companies a “negotiated” price. I get that we, as a nation, truly suck. At best we are a corporatocracy. At worst, a straight oligarchy. We’ve got a feeble minded , racist, oompa loompa running for a second term as president. And he has a legit chance of winning! There is almost no part of our society that does not suck in some way. And the vast majority of us know it but the government is so bought and paid for that no real change is possible without bullets. But please, my European brothers and sisters, can you please stop rubbing it on our faces. I assure you we hurt enough already. (edit: a word)
Sunglasses. Would go thru 4 or 5 pairs of cheap plastic lense sunglasses every year. The lenses would always get all scratched. Bit the bullet and bought a pair of Costas 3 years ago. Lenses still look brand new.
