Diary of an ASD Squirrel. Day 220 , Tuesday 04/06/2024

My Pavlovian response got me up at 06:30, so hobbled down to breakfast.

The meds the Doc gave me yesterday are doing the biz as far as reducing the pain goes, if not the swelling.
Itโ€™s so nice to be able to walk again , even if it is only a shuffling gait!
The meds are also messing with my digestive system, had an egg butty for lunch which grumbled its way thru me this afternoon. So rather than a some ham & a bit of salad for tea it was soup, again !

Oh I hope this speed of recovery is maintained!

Final Thoughts.

Every thought I have at the moment is directed at getting my foot back to normal & not looking like a prop front the Elephant Man !

Thank you to all those who are helping me on this journey, in a myriad different ways. I am thankful to each & every one of you! ๐Ÿซ‚ ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฟ๏ธ๐Ÿ––

I could need a bit of help regarding an old US movie which I cannot remember the title of.

It is a about a couple, probably set in the 1950s and black and white, which goes on their honeymoon in the US with a caravan. Everything goes wrong and I remember that at one point, the caravan comes off from the car and roles down a hill, I think with the bride still inside.

Off to Switzerland tonight. The problem with a late evening flight is that I get a bit edgy, always watching the clock.

But it's a good set of flights with Emirates, both in Airbus A380s (great planes) and with three hours layover in Dubai. I prefer having three hours there rather than, say, two hours, as it takes a while to get through the airport.

One day I will decide I've had enough of these long flights to Europe and draw a line under them. But not quite yet.

Up around 6:30am today.

Breakfast & chores followed.

I was really tired today, & kept falling asleep at odd moments.

We went wild this evening had had pulled pork in a BBQ sauce with chips & sweetcorn for tea, livin the dream here in deepest darkest Yorkshire !

Final Thoughts.

The world is such a tough place at the moment, my heart goes out to those sharing my TL who are struggling thru far worse than I have to put up with!

The other half is gearing up to revive her YouTube channel. It was started in 2008 with short clips of the plants she lovingly tended in her garden. She was into her โ€œthird seasonโ€ when a bushfire came through in 2011 and much of the garden was engulfed by the flames. The bushfire became her last video uploads.

Now, over a decade later, and Cilla is finally picking up her passion again, and plans to return to Cillaโ€™s Garden. Sheโ€™s currently doing time lapse videos of the cleanup. The gardens and pathways are all overgrown and sheโ€™s been inspired by lawn mowing time lapse videos of people cleaning up overgrown yards.

For gardening, weird plants, or just to follow โ€œThe New Adventures of Cillaโ€™s Gardenโ€ when she begins uploading again, give Cilla a !

Yesterday's bath leak fixing job seems to have been a success! MrsD and I shared a bath last night (TMI?) and there were no leaks during bath time or afterwards when the plug came out! ๐Ÿ‘
