Today 24.04 LTS shipped, but Canonical still hasn't fixed the issue that their load balancer isn't using any of the community mirrors, so if anyone would like a faster download that Canonical's own servers, I might know some places... 💅

I had to create the 1st instance via cli.

I'm trying to figure out whether i can run #pihole and #nextcloud within the non-upgradable 2GB RAM envelope of that wee #Wyse3040 thin client.

The containers aren't fully installed, yet. But they're running at ~500MB of RAM.

#Proxmox was a dead end - uses 1.5GB without running a single container!

2 lxc containers running, htop shows about 500MB RAM usage

I just finished #Cyberpunk2077 and I most definitely buy the DLC Phantom Liberty!
This was one of the most awesome game rides I ever had 🥰

I've finished it myself - without actually finishing it; i've just stumbled upon the "point of no return", saved the game, and went straight ahead into the Arasaka corpo ending.

Now, (reset to that savegame) i'm playing ALL the side quests 1st, until i find out what my Aldecaldos chooms have to say about the Relic malware. (I'm playing as Nomad, btw.)

How did your #Linux journey begin?

Mine begun with the trusty old #Debian - I remember Sarge being a big deal - I've ordered a copy on multiple CDs.

Then I've got a job, found myself confronted with #SUSE and #YAST... didn't know what to do with all that automated user-friendlyness, my boss insisted. I knew how you juggle conf files, but this strange yast thing? The same boss got me a Celeron box as a 1-man- helpdesk workstation. He also decided to run dissimilar HDDs on a HW-RAID controller.

@grumpygrampa I've ended up on Ubuntu, because it's a Debian derivative - I knew Debian, and Ubuntu was the new hot shiz ... it still kinda is, it's got newer versions than the "trusty old" but rock solid Debian.

@ekis well, technically it seems to be an existing setting - a rather inconvenient one, that involves locating and editing a config file.

Also, it's an OPT-OUT setting that MAKES EVERYONE ELSE inherently identify as a despicable antagonist, in the Christian scheme of things! (The wording, implied hubris!)

This is not OK, in my not so humble anymore opinion!

Why does MY hardware need to process this branch in code - i'd like it to be an #Ubuntu issue - emotionally, i'm using the Ubuntu distro.

I've been there - felt warm and fuzzy - here and there, in varying milieus …i began "adopting" their "dualism" / friend&foe-scheme…
