As nice as the Azumas are, you can't beat a dolled up 225. Unit 91111 at Leeds this evening. #ukrail #railways #trainspotting

(Edit to correct a cockup: the HST was the InterCity 125 - this is a 225)

@mw1cgg Right you are, I just checked. It's an Intercity 225. HST is the one before, the 125.
Either way I didn't realise LNER had any InterCity sets left, I figured they'd switched entirely to the Azumas

So glad it's not PIC16 or older. 18 was a massive upgrade.

@mw1cgg I didn't have the PIC18 C compiler when I started with those, so assembly I had to learn! Just getting rid of banking and paging (for the most part anyway) was a huge improvement.

One for the #ukrail rail enthusiast brigade. I'm sat on a Northern liveried Class 158. I'm fairly sure this glass etching is either NorthernSpirit's original from the 1990s, or very early TransPennine. Does anyone know for sure?

"Pretty good" or "Not bad": It's only just turned 9am.

"Comme ci, comme ça": Hoping you'd rather save face by pretending you know what that means, than ask me to say it 'En Anglais'.

"Surviving": I saw the guy with the scythe and the horse named Binky pull up outside.

"Been better, been worse": Everything's on fucking fire.

"Not great, not terrible": I hope you have a Geiger counter that reads higher than 3.6 Roentgens, a fast car, and a map.
