Incredibly stoked that I managed to make a chai latte with steamed milk on the new espresso machine. And even on my first try! 😃

Silky smooth milk with chai latte powder in a steaming mug. The video then transition to show the chai latte poured into a glass.

@simonbs this machine looks soo good! Please share more experiences. I'm currently using a more consumer friendly Sage Barista Express, downgrading the smarts is one of the things keeping me from buying such a machine.

@rileytestut @altstore do they need to approve apps in alternative marketplaces? I thought the whole point of this is the separation of "power"? Do the App Store guidelines still apply to other marketplaces?

My current best method is to drink my coffee from a glass milk bottle, which works surprisingly well…but might just be the most hipster thing I've ever done.

Sometimes a video render for one of my project takes 30+ minutes. On the Mac it’s no big deal, I just work on other stuff or get up from my computer and walk the dog or make lunch.

On the iPad I can’t do anything else, but at least I can leave it to do its thing.

The Vision Pro is weird because if FCP was there, I’d have to leave my computer strapped to my face while it worked. That’s…a weird concept, but at least I can chuck the window behind me while I do other stuff.

@matt there should be Handoff for long-running processes. Like when you start that FCP export, your could hand it off to a Mac and that Mac will display the window and keep it alive.

Rather than porting the entire Delta codebase to visionOS, I decided to make a new project to quickly prototype what a native visionOS port should feel like. Already coming up with a bunch of neat ideas!

Goal is to then merge these designs back into Delta once I'm happy with the direction 🤞

I'm starting the initial beta testing for my new hiking route planner, offline mapping and watchOS 10 redesign update to Pedometer++. Any hikers out there who'd like to give it a go, I'd appreciate the feedback. It isn't quite finished yet but it is close enough to be a useful point for gathering feedback. If I’ve missed things I'd love to know now before I get too far into polishing things up.

@_Davidsmith hey David, I thought I'd give you this feedback real quick. I'm really excited about these maps but every time I join the TestFlight I struggle to find them.

I think this feature deserves to have its own top level tab. You would plan a route from there (or choose an existing one) and then star a workout from there.

This would really help discoverability I think.

Over the summer I didn't have time to do a proper watchOS 10 redesign for Pedometer++. I am now tackling that project, which is actually much easier now that I've actually lived with watchOS 10's redesign for several months.

Something I found super helpful was to take a screenshot of every screen in the app and lay out the current UI hierarchy, which when I see it laid out like this is a bit of a mess. But I couldn't tell how much of a mess without the perspective of seeing it all at once.

@_Davidsmith thank you!! 😅 I was considering suggesting making the text smaller but then I always thought you liked that better and it makes your apps more recognizable. I think they are more usable with the standard text sizes though.

I know Apple told me that I should be getting the M3 Pro chip as a developer and not an AI researcher or video editor, but damn it, I'm getting the M3 Max to run Xcode and edit 4-track Logic projects and there's nothing they can do about it
