@andrew I'm not a mathematician, but I think a ratio of 1:83 would mean men have 83 TIMES the wealth of women.

The document you cite is entirely about TOP wealthholders (and says so over and over), so it's not exactly about "men and women" so much as "very rich men and very rich women" (assets over $11M). I also don't see the ratio you cite anywhere in it, but I admit that I only skimmed and text searched it.

I completely believe in a wealth disparity between men and women, but your details are a mess.

Have y'all ever had someone act like you were hurting them somehow by just liking a food?

Any time I buy or make kimchi, my Mom says it's so gross and she doesn't want any and just on and on. I never offer it to her, or make group food with it, but for some reason she seems offended by it, and I don't know why.

It's strange to me when I see people get upset about people doing good deeds, and posting it online.

"They're just doing it for attention!"

Yeah, so what? I'd much rather see people doing nice things for attention, than the people who do mean pranks or wasting food. A good deed is still good, even if it's done for the wrong reasons.

@RickiTarr You're focusing on the deed, but what sticks out to me is the attention.

My attention is mine, but so much in this world tries to get it from me. I work really hard to guard my attention, and I feel like I'm failing most of the time. My attention hardly ever goes where I want it.

Doing a good deed for attention is better than getting it a lot of other ways. That's for sure.

But anything that draws attention feels like an intrusion. It feels selfish, this stranger yanking on my consciousness in any way at all. I didn't have to be involved, but they demanded I play a part anyway.
