If you want to see the Tucker Carslon interview with #Putin before its released, you better go and watch these two Putin interviews:

  • Oliver Stone “The Putin Interviews” (2015-2017)
  • Keir Simmons (2020)

Their content is 100% identical as it comes to the merit: Putin continues lengthy monologues about how “NATO invaded Russia” while the journalist sits with blank stare and asks pre-approved questions.

It’s not an interview, as we understand it, it’s a carefully directed show, just as Putin’s “open questions annual press conference” whose sole purpose is to distribute and reinforce Russian narratives. The bait is the most natural humans’ instinct: curiosity, as in “oh, will Putin this time break and say something honest?”

Well, he won’t. Instead, your brain will be infected with Putin’s world view where you yourself have a role of a serf, or no role at all. The benefit of watching these old interviews is that most Putin’s promises didn’t age well and are probably the best vaccine against believing him again.

Yesterday I wrote Russia may consider such a "burned ground" option in case of their military failure, but this mostly applies to the chain of dams upstream from Kherson as Kyiv has tight anti-air defense. Just wanted to present these voices below as a historic evidence of attitudes of Russian armed forces.

Good to see that the UK finally understands that Ukraine 🇺🇦 desperately needs heavy LONG RANGE attack drones and missiles
