Between getting busy public services to run spurious Freedom of Information requests, to trawling Twitter looking for intellectual property to steal, it's no surprise that journalists have no time to get off their lazy arses and do some fucking real work. 🙄
Courtyard Marriott Downtown Toronto hotel booked for 7 nights for Toronto trip. The Courtyard Marriott Downtown on 2nd St is the hotel I stayed in every time I was in San Francisco. Let’s see if the Toronto one is as good. #Toronto
@PapyrusBrigade Cool. I was there in 2003 for three days. The hotel was on Yonge St, but I don't recall what it was called. Looking forward to going back in November. And seeing The Beaches play their hometown on the 1st and 2nd in Massey Hall ☺️
This song* is phenomenal. I know music is subjective and people like different things, but this song reaches into my brain in all the right ways.
In other news, I recently learned that Canada has rules that require broadcasters to include art from Canadian artists. 40% for commercial radio. Higher for TV. This is a good rule. 👍🏻
It seems prudent to have a good few days as a buffer against cancelled flights when planning a trip across the Atlantic. Given the reports of late cancellations by BA and others. I’ll probably build in 4 days for my November trip before the first gig. More time to get used to the time zone.
Some good news today..my housemate's ColoGuard results are negative. He doesn't have to get a colonscopy, and I don't have to hear anymore about poop, so win-win.
If I can get tickets for The Beaches Toronto gigs, I'm going to go to Toronto for a holiday in November. I'll go to the gigs, Niagara Falls, Sarnia* and a few other places within easy travelling distance of Toronto.
