New baby arrived.

Anacardium humile, dwarf cashew

It’s from the Cerrado region of Brazil so it’s more cold+heat tolerant and less water demanding than occidentale. It can go around 5-6 months without water. It maxes out at 5 1/4ft (1.6m). Produces itty bitty nuts and fruit within a few years of germination. Hope I can keep it alive.💚

First time growing Rainbow Glass Popcorn from Real Seeds. Not the greatest weather for ripening up sunshine hungry crops this year in the UK, but I got a couple of cobs. Asclepias incarnata (swamp milkweed) seeds form layered columns like pangolin scales, then when the seed fluff dries out enough, they push themselves up and out of the column as if they are marching upwards. They're amazing 💚🌿

Is there a #peony community on masto? I received flowers as a gift, and now I NEED to know what this one is, so I can try to grow them. I live in Interior #Alaska, so any zone 4 and up varieties are out right off the bat…

From what I’ve read, I think this would be considered a “semi-double” bloom? [edit] After looking online for HOURS, I'm pretty sure it's not a Buckeye Belle or a Chief Black Hawk. Black Panther is my current leading candidate.
