i have word that the first 18 MNT Pocket Reforms have started shipping to backers (non-hyper, black case, white kailh choc switches). anyone got a notification?

also, we have packed another shipment of 30 Pocket Reforms that's going out on tuesday (after customs clearance). that one also contains devices with Red Pro switches.

done with the second revision of the RK3588 module for MNT Reform (and Pocket Reform as soon as there are DSI display drivers mainlined). i've been running the first rev in my laptop for weeks (months? lost track of time on this one). this rev has a bunch of fixes and new stuff:
—"wifi/bt" connector to support any kind of off-board sdio/uart/usb module for wifi/bt or other things
—lpc spi connection for system controller
—hdmi fixes (4k@60 works now!)
—extra sai audio lines for phone/modem

the same MNT RCORE module in the pcb editor of kicad, 6 layers, it's a maze of crisscrossing signals

because debian unstable can't cross-build arm64 on x86/amd64 at the moment, CI is building reform-debian-packages natively on the RK3588 MNT Reform that i'm also using to watch voyager at the same time, because it is feierabend

i tested negative today so i went to the mnt studio in the afternoon to work for a few hours (masked). it's weird but good to be back and solving problems. taking it slow. today i fixed a last minute hdmi issue that had been a showstopper for pocket reform shipping.

pocket reform is a really nice device for setting to lowest brightness in a darkened room, streaming some music from your navidrome and using tons of strange but fun TUI apps across dozens of sway tabs, and changing the keyboard backlight color from time to time according to your mood

@GottaLaff Eh no worries, it appeared in my feed after I responded to someone who pissed me off, so naturally I was confused.

I don't have a lot of respect you see for people who expect me to stay quiet when they insult my beliefs. I don't respect right wingers much, but I also don't respect anti-religious nuts as I have mentioned and let's say that was who I was responding to. I get tired of that stuff. My temper usually doesn't rage like it used to, but that still annoys me a lot.

@Snowshadow @BarryCooke @ned @pinhman @gemelliz Btw, have you considered getting a mnt reform or pocket mnt reform? they don't have any garbage in them, unless you consider a non-free wifi card garbage which even most computers require.

Its a good device for writing or low level stuff. Getting one myself by end of march probably.
