UK passes "national service" measure.
People who don't want to support war sign up to do the voluntary service hours in the community.
Then the only 'accredited' service hours are at places directly supporting the war effort. Slots are limited.
Your "fellow dissenter" shows up at your door "Sorry, you have to go to the front lines, you chose this."
@gabriel europe is accelerating in their going-to-hell effort. The nations are NOT served by going into a war footing with russia and china. Clearly genocidal ai or aliens are in charge in #europe.
> The venture-capital industry is indeed a clique: too white, too male, too Harvard/Stanford.
A few pages before that:
> the venture business is open to investors of Asian origin: about 15 percent of VC partners are ethnically Asian, more than double their share of the labor force.
@kaia@icedquinn@lain dunno neuro linguistic programming is pretty evil, i don't even care how "smart and successful" they may appear. ceos and news presenters are top of that list. if operating your business requires nlp then its probably a unethical business.
Young people are waking up every day to media about war, genocides, dead children. They are unsure of being able to make a living, scared by debt, violence, addiction, homelessness. They are unsure if the burning planet will even support their lives. They are struggling for secure basic housing after having their lives upended by a pandemic...
@sun@mrsaturday@quinn i wouldn't blame communication itself, i blame the bigtech that control and pervert how the communication channel operates... if the article doesn't bring attention to bigtech then its effectively calling for more communication censorship imo.
the difference is subtle but it means the difference between freedom vs further inflicting mass narratve control. we should start actively informing folkthat the o/ses and firmare on their phones is bad for them, #fdroid is all well and good, but it means zip nada null if the underlying technology is a black box.
A few short weeks ago, some learned chaps were schooling me on all the reasons hydrogen isn't viable as an energy carrier for vehicles. They obviously forgot to communicate all this to the people actively developing hydrogen infrastructure in Aotearoa.
@strypey@gabriel what it really comes down to for me is, is this system able to be employed by small operators or is it a centralized operation that only works at large scale for big capital?
@bot@icedquinn not getting fun jokey vibes from you anymore, the emotional signals are a bit all over the place with u, so yeah. weird. again bots would produce this sort of false emotional signals, soo....
@alex@nimda@icedquinn thanks for the heads up re bot'@'seal.cafe. they are a bit reckless and nasty aren't they, the worst thing is they make it seem like its a big sarcastic joke to them. just the sort of behavior id expect from a well-PAID trolls of the corporate state hiding behind their fascist construct that is cloudfalre.
"Like most #neoliberal institutions, #Boeing had come under the spell of a seductive new theory of “knowledge” that essentially reduced the whole concept to a combination of intellectual property, trade secrets, and data, discarding “thought” and “understanding” and “complex reasoning” possessed by a skilled and experienced workforce as essentially not worth the increased health care costs"
@inquiline do those two questions matter, tho? what im saying is the server you're using to speak out against #neoliberalism is a threat to a range of good faith actors who want to counter neolib.
as a further injury, prospect.org is on amazon..... or as some people like to call these days, #scamazon..... among the worst antitrust offender on earth.
> Launch Icaros Live! (AROS) in QEMU
> Gets a weird ass resolution (2560×1600)
> Have to set sway to not tile QEMU so things are readable but I have to move the gigantic window around
@SmallOther@Viss@neurovagrant yea, they do these pumps and dump exit scams every year couple years now, remember 3d tv, doge, nft, self driving vehicles, anything the buyer of birdsite talks about on any given day?
@Viss@neurovagrant@SmallOther someone i know in december predicted that this year would be the year of the ai pump-and-dumps / #distractions, so its good to know that i'm around ppl who can predict things.
