Why am I doing this?

In Italian, I need to polish my grammar. When I speak, I forget verb forms and so forth. My understanding is pretty solid by now.

Romanian is my inlaw's language. I understand enough for getting by, but I have little sense of the grammar yet.

Japanese I studied a long time ago, and regret forgetting.

Castellan I needed this summer, and is close enough to Italian that I really have no excuse for not speaking when I understand most.

Swahili? Random African choice.

WhatsApp is e2ee supposedly. Do I trust Meta on that? Is WhatsApp now acceptable to use for moderate privacy use cases like having a brief chat with Mom? I'm curious what everyone's take is?

@Tekchip In that particular situation, it's technically workable.

And yet, out of principle, most would probably argue that you'd still want to transfer over to something like #Signal. It's basically the same experience but far more secure and private.

I see that @Tutanota no longer offers the €1 Premium plan. Now the €3 Revolutionary plan is the cheapest offering. My existing plan was grandfathered in.

But you know what, I upgraded anyway. I always felt that the old price was amazingly cheap. If we all upgrade to the new plan, maybe some excellent work will get done, that wouldn't otherwise be within reach?

@MartinVuilleme Both of those are definitely true in my experience.

What I'm always afraid of are admins that go to a third step and say: "You went against the policy and our explicit instructions."

In the case of the story above, I can see the poor teacher being yelled at for using loose sheets of paper or asking the kids to bring in their own notebooks.

Well, I've seen both terms used to describe a variety of things in different circumstances. For example, the terms have been used to describe language(s), cuisine, products, geography, schools, and countless other things from the #Philippines.

So just to pick one of those, when speaking of cuisine from the 🇵🇭, should we say 'Philippine cuisine', 'Filipino cuisine', or as you've suggested 'Tagalog cuisine'?
