@caitp honestly, would be kind of cool if this somehow led to the person actually learning to make music, which requires zero "credits" but a fair bit of time, passion and skill.

I need about 65 new followers to hit 2k, and I'd love to get there before my next release! @JackTheCat No such rule. Constitution lays out the requirements for president very clearly and there's no mention of anything relating to criminal status.

@JackTheCat well, think of it this way: if you could eliminate your competition for the highest office by convicting them of any felony, the temptation to abuse that power would be enormous... Far more likely to benefit the Trumps of history than the legitimate candidates.

Humble Bundle seems to have a bundle with some Cherry Audio virtual synths at the moment, including Quadra which you'll hear on a few Key 13 tracks, notably Primavera and Lateral Flow.

Also includes Mercury-4 which is a Roland Jupiter-4 emulation, and Dreamsynth.

The deal includes a whole bunch of sample packs too.

Not affiliated in any way but I use a lot of Cherry Audio stuff and this is a cheap price...!

@endlessblue @keefmarshall Genuinely fascinating what different people find appealing! I completely dismissed that one, even after watching part of a video review that seemed to quite like it. I think it's because I feel I'm a synthesist/sound designer first and foremost, and it seems pretty preset-oriented.

First up, "Implacable Progress Toward an Ineffable Goal," one of the 2 best tracks from my 2021 release Oneirogen Codex. This is a long slow burn of a track at 9 minutes but its the aural manifestation of the title--takes a while to get there, but there's no stopping it.

I had a bit of time to record two new tracks to my ongoing instrumental/ambient project “music for snailports”. Trying to just have a mini idea of how I want something to sound and then doing some spontaneous recording. These ones came out a bit or like kind of reminds me of being by the ocean.

Even tho I publish my music and promote it almost daily, I still think of myself as its primary audience. That said, I do tend to listen to each release less and less as time passes since its release.

Today I decided to listen to last year's main release while I worked in the yard and you know what? I think it holds up really well. I can nitpick a lot of little things about it, but I'm still proud of it, and I still think you should hear it too. So, have a listen?

Like absolutely vote for Joe Biden, there is literally no alternative if you want any hope of maintaining a liberal democracy in the US.

Understand that Joe is much more of a corporate puppet than even Obama was. He is not going to lead us into any democratic promised land.

He's a stop gap to keep fascists from completely seizing power. That's all.
