I should issue a warning that Happy Doomsday opens with a physically disabled main character waking up in a new, abled body. I'm reserving judgement for various reasons but thought people might appreciate knowing before reading as I know this can be a turnoff.

The human and the android are now fake dating.

(Technically, the android believes the human to be another android who has been transplanted with human memories, and this might actually be true. But for the purposes of tropes it's a human/android ship.)

BY THE WAY, the main couple in Happy Doomsday is far less healthy than that of Evil As Humans and I'm loving it. Currently I'd describe them as enemies with benefits? Those benefits also include blood drinking (to share healing nanobots) btw.

I finished "Devil Venerable Also Wants to Know" and one thing I loved about it (there were many) is how it turns the "utterly devoted love interest" trope on its head. Yin Hanjiang starts out as this, and over the course of the novel grows into someone who no longer has to suppress pieces of himself for the sake of what he thinks Wenren E wants him to be.

Also you should read Devil Venerable for the female sex cultivator who's never slutshamed nor forced by the narrative to "settle down."

You know, what I really really love about this book is that it's, so much, about being true to yourself, and there's a place for you somewhere even if it's not where you thought it'd be.

I'm never sanding a book again this is so nice. Also, having previously done the toothbrush method and the hit-your-brush-against-something method, the sifter method is so much better! I still didn't set my phone far enough away from my workspace though.
