The more I'm thinking about it, the more I consider it.

I want to add a map for my bicycle rides, but I can't find any good PHP maps. The PHP versions of Leaflet on GitHub are no good. They don't work at all. They just gives you errors like "can't load class" or something like that.

So even if I am against it only to challenge myself, I consider using Leaflet in JS for airikr.me/biking.

Or do you have any solution in PHP that works out of the box?

@derickr Same here, especially on my weather service Serenum (https://serenum.org). But this time, I want to challenge myself by getting Leaflet and displaying a path in pure PHP 🙂 But if that doesn't work at all, I'll be forced to use JS 😟

@derickr I've read that you can load the tiles with PHP since they are in PNG. So far so good, but after that painting the track will be the hardest part, if not the impossible one.

You can use GD to add strokes, but letting these strokes follow an array of coordinates. That will make it very hard, if not impossible.

Works perfectly! But I have 1 question. How to make the track thicker? Either that or to set opacity on the map. I think changing the thickness of the track is easier to do, right? Or just changing the tiles 😊

I can post instructions later for anyone who wants to know how, but I figured out how to use the #AuroraStore to revert the #GoogleCamera / #PixelCamera app to the version before the horrendously dumb UI redesign.

It's wonderful to have my old camera app back. So much more convenient.
