@janl I'm just a bit afraid what comes after? Feels like the hype cycle got faster in the last couple years. And we got overlapping hypes now. I mean grifters are still talking about Crypto and Metaverse while we are already for the end of the following hype/scam.

Warum kann so eine von die Firmware für die Geräte eigentlich nicht selbstständig aus dem Internet laden, sondern braucht diesen Extra-Hop "manueller Download und Upload zur CCU"?

Mach ich da was falsch und habe irgendein offensichtliches Setting übersehen?

@nblr @larsmb Ich glaube eher, dass sich da niemand drüber Gedanken gemacht hat. Weder über Downloadpeaks noch über UX. Vielleicht hilft da ein Featurerequest. Aber ich vermute mal, dass das nicht super wahrscheinlich ist.

Being back in #copenhagen after two years feels almost weird, at least price wise. As a German I was used to Copenhagen being a very expensive city. But inflation seems to have been less harsh here. At least craft beer and eating out seem to be not that expensive any more compared to German prices.

Bei Aussagen wie "Für $Ding haben wir kein Budget" einfach naiv nachfragen ob sie für dann das Budget für die BaFin-Strafen haben löst solche Deadlock-Situationen ziemlich zuverlässig auf.

@ruhrscholz But only if the WLAN is there, but barely works or has strange restrictions like you can only use 126,8 MB per day or use it for 118,4 Minutes each day.

Anybody got a recommendation for a cheap #heartRateMeter chest strap that is compatible with the #Polar H9 and available in the #EU?

Bigger shops show products that claim compatibility with multiple models from the same manufacturers that are incompatible with each other, or don’t mention models at all. 🤦‍♂️

Original lasted less than three months, got a better model as warranty replacement by the merchant that I didn’t use a lot and died out of warranty now.

@generic If BLE connectivity is sufficient, I have quite good experiences with the straps from Magene. But I can't say anything about compatibility there. But with Android and Wahoo it works great.

Okay. I really wanted to love #nb https://xwmx.github.io/nb/ for personal knowledge management. While most of its design choices (especially: #Git, #Markdown & #CLI) are exactly what I’m looking for, its todo management features are severely lacking:

• no arbitrary nesting of tasks (only top-level “todos” with a single sublevel of ”tasks”), no dependencies
• due dates are attached to todos, not tasks, can’t be queried(!) or repeat
• priorities, contexts etc. would need to be modeled via hashtags

@scy Hmm, yeah I am also looking for a good tool for that. In the near future I am looking at Silverbullet.md and logseq. Quite different tools with different workflows, but maybe one of them is suitable for you.

Does anybody know what #VanMoof did store on their servers about their users? I mean the bike and the bike could have collected quite a bit of sensitive data. Are we sure that their insolvency couldn't also result in a privacy nightmare for their users?
