I just heard that Sverre M. Fjelstad passed away. He was like a Norwegian version of David Attenborough and I grew up watching his nature films on TV. He once said of his love of the forest that he almost wished fewer people would spend time in the forest, so he could have it to himself. But, he said, spending time in the forest makes you a better person, so he would rather share it, to make people (and society) better.

I did a collaboration with @fennifith for . Expect cheesy DX7 E-piano sounds, frenetic breakbeats, sliding basslines, and more. All crammed into exactly 4 minutes. We had to speed it up a bit to fit everything into the allowed 4 minute duration.

    @flockofnazguls Why We Bleep seems to be picking up the pace a bit after he quit his day job to focus the podcast and videos.

    Electronically Yours is worth checking out too. Lots of artists from the 80s, and everyone gets the question "What's your favourite synth?"

    There's also a lot of good stuff in the Art+Music+Technology (https://artmusictech.libsyn.com/) archive. Sadly, the host passed away two years ago, but if you don't need everything to be current, it is a goldmine.

    I needed more attenuverters, so I designed my own 4x attenuverter module. I made a few mistakes. The power header silkscreen footprint is the wrong way. Not a big problem, just mount the power header the other way. Another mistake was that I did not put resistors between the op-amps and the outputs. This means that if I patch an output into another output, the op-amp will probably be fried. But, at least it works, and that's not bad for a first PCB design.

    I've upgraded from the ice cream box front panel to an aluminium front panel. It's not very easy to make precise holes using a hand drill, but I got it close enough to fit.

    One negative thing about hosting everything on my own server is that now my website, faircamp, and funkwhale is down because our ISP has an outage. Statistically this will affect about 3 people today, as that is my average visitor count per day for my website and faircamp, so not really a problem. , but don't expect 100% uptime.

    @KydiaMusic It works fine here. I noticed the image didn't load instantly because it's a huge image scaled down by the browser. Perhaps make a smaller image to use less bandwidth?
