"When a 23-year-old Sam Altman took the stage at Apple Inc.’s annual developer conference in 2008, he gushed about being able to use the company’s new App Store to promote his software, a friend-locating service called Loopt."
That's OpenAI's Sam Altman. He spoke at WWDC in 2008? That's incredible.
And now he's back. 2008 was the year of the App Store (and some brutal NDAs).
@bynkii@davemark I have a hard time not thinking of him being laughed at for the popped collars as his villain origin story. But I guess he was evil before that. 🤷♂️
@davemark well, to be honest we’re talking about 12/14 years old Apple TVs which don’t even use tvOS and don’t have the App Store, and Netflix was a pre installed app.
@davemark Q: Which electric cars sold in the US cost less than $30,000?
A: Three models listed.
Followup: Which of those work with NACS?
A: Many brands listed with plans to support NACS. So it didn’t correctly follow up. Still, it was a succinct list. Both times it gave its sources.
