#Telegram was blocked in my country (#Brazil) yesterday on all ISPs, and soon they will be removed from App Store and Play Store ... that's why decentralized communication apps are so important, apps like #Session and #Matrix are trending here right now.
@fatboy it's a possibility, but the majority of people here don't use and the ones that know about them are going after free ones that are usually shady, so people are looking for other apps now, glad I don't use Telegram anyway :D
(solved) Question about Nitter: If I open a Nitter instance to check some Twitter profile:
Does Twitter know that I'm checking this profile via Nitter, in other words, does it know my IP address?
Let's say this profile shared a link, and it has a link preview (opened an image and title of the article), but I didn't click in this link: does this website know my IP address because of the link preview?
@blake thank you, I don't mind Nitter seeing my IP, I just don't want twitter and third parties to see it, so I think I can check this profile on clearnet and just copy/paste links in Tor browser when I want to open them
Damn, spent almost 2 hours trying to figure out why yt-dlp was giving me DNS errors when used together with torsocks, it always worked fine, but at the end, the culprit was the external downloader aria2c, when I removed it from the parameters, everything worked smooth 😪
Having some issues with #fedora 38, well, not actually with fedora itself, but with some packages that I need and are not yet optimized/fixed for the new version, I’ll go back to #endeavourOS and give some time until everything works fine
Problem is: it takes forever, but the main issue is that my laptop goes to 100% processor use and the cooler fans go nuts, looks like it will take off or set my house on fire.
Is there any app that is more efficient for this? I can't use a cloud service, I have lots of videos to convert, it's not practical
