Did you know that there is a 1:1 scale replica of the world-famous Scramble intersection that can be rented by TV and film productions located 80 km northwest of Tokyo in the city of ? The real intersection is so busy that nobody can close it down for controlled filming.

This set was notably used in the hit Japanese TV series Alice in Borderland.

Ich meine nicht die Namen und so. WER sind diese Leute? Aus welchen Zusammenhängen kommen sie, was machen sie, wieso singen sie sowas? Die Geschichten, die zu dieser Geschichte führte. Alle sind gut juristisch vertreten und in Sachen Krisen-PR ebenfalls professionell beraten. Das ist Teil der journalistischen Herausforderung. Das sind keine Lichtenhagem-Harrys, sondern schlaue, mächtige Menschen aus "geordneten" Verhältnissen. SEHR spannend!

I am personally not reassured that Recall is currently local and currently enabled only on some Snapdragon processors. It's still a bad direction to go, and one that makes Windows users in general far less safe, even if only by normalizing that this kind of product can and should exist.

I remember when Windows 10 mail was local only, before a Windows Update made it cloud-only. I remember Edge didn't have built-in ads, before an update put ads everywhere. I remember when the My Documents folder was local-only by default, until a new version of OneDrive pushed it all to the cloud by default.

History suggests that this kind of product is too often a wedge to justify more abuse of personal information in the future.

For those who aren’t aware, Microsoft have decided to bake essentially an infostealer into base Windows OS and enable by default.

From the Microsoft FAQ: “Note that Recall does not perform content moderation. It will not hide information such as passwords or financial account numbers."

Info is stored locally - but rather than something like Redline stealing your local browser password vault, now they can just steal the last 3 months of everything you’ve typed and viewed in one database.

Just to clarify, I can access it without SYSTEM too. Microsoft are about to set cybersecurity back a decade by empowering cyber criminals via poor AI safety. Feature ships in a few weeks.
