Rainy beach photos in northern #Tasmania, all beaches are on Bass Strait #weekend

Rained out beach scene. There is one person on the beach with an umbrella. A speck.
Shards of eroded rock lead out to see at Cooee. We start to see light again as we head back along the coast to Devonport.

We were at Low Head and then Green's Beach yesterday. I'll try to put some pics up later :)

Ah, I remember when I lived in the UK the excitement of hearing the news that a General Election had been called.

To be replaced a few minutes later by the realisation that FPTP is still the voting system.

Coming from the UK I wasn't allowed to give blood for many years of being here in Australia. From 2005 when I arrived until 2022 when I moved to Tasmania, I wasn't allowed to donate, but I'm trying to make up for that now.

My wife can't donate, though she'd like to. She has fibro and the drugs she's on prevent her.

We were doing a bit of gardening out the front of our house when we heard and saw some Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos in trees across the road. My wife went to check them out and took this photo of one flying away, with our house behind.

If you get mad when you see employees at a business you are patronizing laughing, enjoying each other's company, and goofing off, you're a dick. Empathize with people working a shitty underpaid job, and let them enjoy what little fun they get.
