Even with how large Huawei is, it's hard to imagine them being able to break into the market with their own mobile OS at this point. It would take years and years to get anywhere near the buy-in of app developers that iOS and Android has. And that without most of the western markets as well.

The tried-and-true way of getting an actual good keyboard on a MacBook (putting a mechanical keyboard on top of the laptop deck, covering up the built-in one) no longer works on this MBP. Because when I do that, it powers completely down.

I think this is because the power switch is now a key on the keyboard, and rather then physically recessing it or putting it somewhere you're unlikely to press it accidentally, you have to hold it down for it to do anything. And a foot of the keyboard I have on it does that.
