@junesim63 what has happened & does happen to Dianne Abbott is abhorrent, that is a fact, but the reason she was suspended from the labour party was a completely separate issue, for her to conflate the two is at best disingenuous & at worst manipulative & leveraging the current situation to her benefit. She was suspended because she wrote a letter saying that The Irish, Jewish & traveller communities suffer prejudice but it's not life time racism, then apologised "for any anguish caused"...

@junesim63 active labour members have been openly racist towards her, she has evidence & the labour government has not taken action, this is the first I am hearing about this, I am surprised that it hasn't been in the news, especially as the right wing press would almost certainly use something like that to both sides this thing. I am a little bit flabbergasted that I am unaware of this...😯

    @DrALJONES it was just another weapon used by Israel to hurt Gaza without looking like they're trying to instigate genocide, they are using lies & starvation to kill as many as possible because they believe it will allow them to continue this shit show for longer as this kind of shit is difficult to prove, plus once the lie has been told & the damage is done, they never have to answer for it & if they do they just plead ignorance or poor intelligence from a chaotic situation...

    @DrALJONES I honestly can't believe the international community acted without evidence in the way they did but then again I also remember that Tony Blair and George w Bush murdered 350,000 Iraqis based on absolute lies & bullshit, so this definitely isn't the first or last time we will see innocent people killed by bad faith actors. At this point in history I would happily criminalise lying in public office with a minimum sentence of 100 years if proven guilty, I am tired of lies hurting us...

    @nixCraft every time I get asked about how long an issue will take to resolve or what is wrong with something I always say something along the lines of "I don't know, if I did it would already be sorted, but if that is not good enough for you then I will have a word with my manager to get a complete bullshit artist allocated to this project, that way you can have someone working with you who has absolutely no problem lying to your face to keep you happy".

    @NormanDunbar @MissingThePt fair enough, it was a cracking time for electronic music, hip-hop, rap, bands like pearl jam, soundgarden & rage against the machine, trip-hop became a thing with wonderful results like portishead & massive attack, bands like counting crows & Weezer, Radiohead & the verve, even Pink Floyd popped out the division bell mid 90's. But I guess that was just me, I would have named some EDM groups but I get the feeling that's not your bag...

    @prema @mkandle @NormanDunbar @MissingThePt it definitely feels like the 90's revival has begun, there is a lot more dance music hitting the mainstream again, accidentally turned on Radio 1 the other night & before I knew it I had been listening to it for about an hour, so it has gotten my 90's spidey senses tingling, not to mention the fashion, I bought my nice some cracking purple distressed Doc martins, lots of baggy jeans, flairs & black band tops everywhere...

For 4 yrs the British State Broadcaster inexplicably put the sayings & doings of the Orange Fascist top of the bulletin during his presidency. Enough already. You might claim it is "news", but when you bill it at the top of the bulletin, you transform it into acclaim. And you know it.

    Over the last 3+ decades, I've watched the Republican party bring fascism to the brink of victory again, a mere 60 years after its defeat in WWII.

    Aided, hand-in-hand, by the post-communist, mafia-state apparatuses of Russia & China - countries the GOP spent the last 100 years using as bogeymen against US voters who wanted better services from their own national government - & by the multi-national corporations that funded the GOP & were rewarded with dismantling of anti-monopoly & FCC laws.

    @chargrille Rupert Murdoch is responsible for creating a world where being an intolerant Nazi & Racist is socially acceptable, but unfortunately they were already there. Brexit revealed to me how many of my friends were harbouring abhorrent views. I lost so many friends and family between 2015 & 2024, it has even forced me into moving away from England altogether, because I just refuse to be any part of it, this vile septic isle...

    @Indyposterboy unfortunately I think history has always framed Jewish people as better than the rest because of their awful history of death and hate perpetrated against them, but it seems that they are just as human as all of us & able to be corrupted by far-right fascist ideologies that drive them to commit atrocities, it's just a sad thing to witness & I am sure some of them will be feeling that sadness today and for the rest of their days, joining the ranks of guilt like the rest of us.

    @fkamiah17 when it comes to Islamic terrorist threats they're willing to do anything to protect MPs, when it comes to far right extremist terrorists they'll do anything to risk the safety of MPs to push their agenda, that is a fact, the media, Johnson, UKIP, EDL, Tommy two names, the Tory party, the Brexit party, Britain first all threatened to hurt, intimidate & kill anybody who got in their way & even Johnson told MPs to get in line if they are afraid, it's what the dead MP would have wanted.

    @fkamiah17 yep, an extremist who was radicalised by the Tory party UKIP, the EDL and brexit to the point where he was so enraged by their rhetoric and the media's rhetoric he decided to gun down an MP in cold blood because she was against Brexit, something that turned out to be built on nothing by lies & propaganda by serving MP's who are still holding the highest office in the land.
