And....Bombs Away! Let's start this off right with one of the most EPIC Christmas LPs of all time, Mariah Carey - Merry Christmas, released in 1994. (And the dogs start running!) 😁🎄❄☃️ #VinylCollection #LPRecord #Christmas

Next,my introduction to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, still remains my favorite to this day, down to every note. 100% 10 star LP, super on all levels that could be discussed, but now, I just miss him. He lives in the music though. HEY SPIKE, WHADDA YA LIKE?

  • SpeckledMoose,

@Robotron I like you DG LP selections. Though I haven't delved to much into the the classical realm in vinyl format, I have several DG on CD and love them. I've heard DG is known for background quietness on their LPs. True?

REMINDER: ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion, and other large trained neural models are NOT "artificial intelligence", they're just stochastic parrots, remixing and regurgitating what they've been fed. There's no theory-of-mind involved, so no understanding: there's no "there" there. (A real live parrot exhibits more intelligence than this.)

Don't call it AI; call it parrot-tech. That way you'll have a better perspective on what it can (and can't) do.

    SpeckledMoose,

@cstross you can add Melon Husk's Grog, or whatever it's called to the emerging list... 😂

Just wrapped up an interesting, challenging listen of Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood (A Play For Voices) on Argo 1954 (1974 Argo RE)

A descriptive, poetic, rambling account of the life of this sea town of Milk Wood.

    Begins & ends in darkness.

Up now, yes again, Sgt Peppers from 1967, Los Angeles pressing.

Some records that have been around for a certain point of time = therapy. I should probably listen to it more. 😀 Hmm, in second thought it might make the condition worse. 😜 I do love this LP.

Up now, Dire Straits debut, self titled LP from 1978, original Jacksonville pressing. Super LP, and one steady rocker. Love it, as I do all of theirs.

Up now, Joni Mitchell's For The Rose from 1972, a Los Angeles CLA pressing. Such a beautiful recording. I could just hang here for decades; guess I have been, essentially. A keeper!

@markmetz @vinylrecords cool!I'm following it but still not quite sure how the interaction is supposed to work. Do they have twitter like lists here? Want to make a list of vinyl peeps

I now, the fabulous self titled Joe Cocker from 1969, original Monarch pressing. The man just had a way with phrasing, and made those covers his own. Something is a good example of that.

Sometimes work is more fun that others.

Sometimes I don't despise the idea of marketing our services.

Today is one of those days.

    More fun images to follow!

    SpeckledMoose,

@SrRochardBunson Bonus points, check them out under a black light! (And you thought they were clean!)😂🤣 That BL shows every microscopic particle of dust.
