Troll/reply guy tried to get me to back down from my unequivocal statement that there's no evidence the 2020 election was stolen, claiming it's better to "meet people halfway" if I want to convince them.

No. As a researcher and educator, I believe in providing clear, accurate information.

The "evidence" that the election was stolen is made up bullshit. To call it anything else is a disservice.

If someone claims that 2+2=5, I'm not going to try to get them to compromise that it's 4.5.

Welcome to another day in the American media hellscape where the former president spent his weekend posting anti Semitic memes and when you point out how hard it is to get a decently paying full time job reporting the truth instead of both sides bullshit, you get hate mail including threats of rape and suggestions that you are a communist.

Don't get me wrong I am an American who loves her country but too many of its people are beyond exhausting.

    @Teri_Kanefield at some point could you speak to the aspect of appeals as related punishment? If someone is convicted and sentenced can they stay out of jail while they appeal? People on death row are not out running around while they appeal. The Trump crowd seems to stay out while appealing.

    @dswidow @Teri_Kanefield Yes it’s Bannon’s case that is causing the question. I had someone ask me if trump could get convicted and sentenced then stay out of jail on appeal. I told them no but there is Bannon doing just that. So having trump free after smith gets him convicted is the real question on people’s mind.

    @Teri_Kanefield I’m part of a voting activist group/ACLU in Detroit. Ground zero. Many of us were at Cobo center in 2020 fighting the crazy. I rely on your interpretations of events and pass on the insights as we do the work. Thank you.
