While packing and traveling to SXSW, I almost forgot to mention that As Dusk Falls , a game I was a consultant for, has been released on PS5 and includes audio descriptions! Cannot wait to play the game in its entirety when I’m back home! Audio descriptions absolutely have a place in gaming, but especially in in narrative driven games where the choices you make matter. Really hope to see more of this in the future :).

Restarting my computer just now freed about 11 gigabytes of storage.

This seems like an abnormally high amount of temporary data.

What's more obnoxious is that I can't track down what is writing it.

Does Windows let you monitor a drive for most recently added files or something?

For the past month I've been working on a game jam game with a group of friends from the IGDA program I was in. We're wanting to conduct some live playtests of people playing the game. Right now we're looking for specifically blind/low vision players. The playtests will most likely be conducted on the 9th. From the latest release of NVDA. This is going to be so helpful for gaming:

NVDA can now periodically refresh OCR results, speaking new text as it appears. This can be configured in the Windows OCR category of NVDA’s settings dialog.

@talon Yeah, was playing career last night for one of the first times and noticed the bug as well. Made it pretty difficult at some points.

    @talon I love this, you've gotten really good. It's definitely taken me a bit longer to get the hang of things, although I've only been able to play like an hour a day or so. Currently using partial assistance for steering/breaks, but definitely not at the point where I feel comfortable racing haha.

    @talon i usually just leave the defaults and just convert to MP4, already saves a massive amount of space.

    @talon For sure. I know people on /r/Handbrake get really into the figuring out the best script to compress videos, you may be able to find something useful there.

    @objectinspace @talon If you want more hand holding, I would definitely try full steering assist, and partial breaks if you still want a little challenge. That alone doesn't allow you to just hold RT and win, you still have to steer and break. Another great way to learn when to best speed up, break, etc, is by turning on all assists and just hearing when the car breaks, stops accelerating, etc.
