It’s quiet this morning, and the clouds are purple and pink in front of a rising sun. This time next week I will be waking on holiday break. #Today will be a day of work, followed by ?? I never know and usually am not much of a planner. I let days come as they will. Hope your Wednesday is grand!

I made it through the week. Did all the laundry today. Rest for two days now. Seems glorious.

I’m feeling not good about this week ahead, but I am going to try to stay positive and put my best foot forward (as soon as I figure out which foot that is). Point is, I had a great Thanksgiving followed by a lousy weekend and now it’s Monday. Deep breath and full speed ahead. I can do this. #Today

It’s in the States, so it’s a good day to being back (for me) :

  1. Decorated for yesterday, so all I have to do today is a little cooking and a lot of relaxing.

  2. Slept well, might have a little nap before heading to my families house for festivities, but I’m good.

  3. Get to watch the today, who are having a dismal season, but at least I get to see a game with them in it.

Bonus: four days before I have to go back to work!

I have a dilemma: I loathe gun culture and guns. But I tend to like dumb action movies. How do I square this? Rhetorical unless you have a well-thought out opinion to share, in which case, feel free. For me, I don’t know.

I’ve spent #Today (so far) being totally relaxed and doing no productive work (ok, I helped unload the dishwasher). I’ve watched some #AdamSavage #Tested videos, worked on customizing a new laptop bag, and wrote a blog post. Glorious. I wish this was the rule, not the exception.

My ambition for #Today is to do nothing useful or productive, but to rest as completely as possible. For me this means: reading, writing, crafting, making, or watching TV. This does not mean: homework, laundry, going out, or any other such malarkey.

I hope that I accomplish nothing and everything I want!

It's 75 and I'm wearing jeans and an oversized thermal long sleeved shirt. I live in Georgia. Can't stand the humidity, but also not too much heat. 85-90 ideal high temperature. Not a fan of snow. Where should I live?

Had a regular eye checkup today, including dilation. It's been 6 hours and my vision is still blurry, eyes still overly light sensitive. I've been sitting here wearing those wraparound sunglasses they give you, using my phone. Can't read a book, watch TV, or paint, since I can't see properly. I guess I'll just go to bed early! stomps off annoyed

I am currently emotionally dysregulated AF because of work BS, but instead of venting my spleen, here are some random older photos.

A pair of flowers, in macro close-up. The larger one on the left is a deep, slightly dull purple. The one on the right is bright white, with just hints of that same purple toward the center. Both have 1 to 2 dozen petals, each shaped like a surfboard. It's easier to see on the purple petals that they also have a bit of longitudinal striping. The center of each is a black core with flecks of yellow pollen.
Macro shot of the flowers of some kind of bush. The flowers are an interesting combination of purple and white: most are purple, but a few have a smaller pure white flower inside them. The unopened flowers look like little purple fingers.

Thanks to all for replies and @'s lately. I'll get to responding. But I've been brain-drained and exhausted. I spent the last few days learning what it feels like when you can't get your Zoloft refill and you end up going without the meds for 4 days. It is very weird and not fun. Antidepressant-withdrawal is no joke. Finally got meds back in me 11 hours ago and am starting to feel better. But good golly miss molly I am TIRED.

  1. Spent a relaxing day with my ma.

  2. It was sub 100F in north Texas and its terrible how wonderful the 90sF felt, considering that 90sF is still bloody hot.
