I saw an ad proclaiming, "This Credit Card is Worth Its Weight in Gold."

My first thought is that that does not make any sense... credit cards do not "have value" the way gold has a value. My second thought is that gold is really heavy and credit cards are light so how much are we even talking here?

Fear not, I did the research! An average credit card weighs about 5 grams, and gold is $63 a gram as of this writing. So this credit card in question is worth $315. Ok, more than I would have guessed, but even so, wtf does that even mean? How can I utilize that $315?

I must admit, I am strongly tempted to click on the link just to find out wtf they are talking about, but that's how they get you!
