    The late summer garden still delivers. The first three of my #SixOnSaturday are all native plants, and some are show-casing their berries this time of year: Callicarpa americana (American Beautyberry), Vernonia glauca (Appalachian Ironweed), and Aralia racemosa (American Spikenard).

    This is Appalachian Ironweed. Tall stems with dark green foliage hold numerous, feathery-purple flowerheads and buds. The plant is growing in a grassy meadow on a sunny day.

    @theteapixie @kas @gardening @plants Yes, Royal Tea, lantana is generally considered an annual unless you live in a tropical or mediterranean climate. But it's a great summer work horse in the summer garden, requiring little effort and producing endless blooms that attract pollinators.
