Morning! I was awake a lot in the night then this morning I struggled to get up. It’s a lovely sunny day again, we’ve got some gardening to do and we can eat lunch outside again, love that. Anyone got any amazing Sunday plans?

Not feeling great this evening. Low/anxious. Thinking of taking some sleep meds in an attempt to get to sleep earlier than 2am. Maybe improved sleep would lead to improved mood…?

Cat is apparently in a coma. Vets have only given her minimal care because fees. This would not happen at our own vets who are all cat lovers. Stuart has made his position clear now that if she has a chance she must be given it as, feral cat or not, we have taken responsibility for her and owe her that. She is too ill to be moved the 30 odd miles to our vets

One of our 3 missing cats has turned up at a vets at least 20 mile away in very poor condition. 😪 this is Van Dyke, the first kitten who was born in our polytunnel this time last year. She disappeared about 6 weeks ago on the same night as her brother Moustache while their mother disappeared several weeks before. I strongly suspect someone has done this to them. 😡 He is not well enough to collect😪

Sadly there has been no improvement in Van Dyke over night so we have had to make the decision to have her put to sleep. Go well little one

@Deus thats a really interesting photo because for years it was argued neonicitinoid insecticides were totally safe on maize as, being a wind pollinated crop, bees don't visit it. Total rubbish of course

@Deus they get pollen where they can and wind pollinated plants are very generous with their pollen so many, like willow over here, are really important to bees. Scientists can be very blinkered

This is a nice cool apiary to work in. It faces south but is in dappled shade. After the flat area there is about a 40ft drop through oak trees to the valley floor #beekeeping

Looking in the other direction the land plunges away to the valley floor and the sun comes through a thin band of oak trees
