This article by N. Casemajor & W. Straw is very exciting and relevant far beyond the research on #Blockchain: they argue to take up the concept of the "scene" for a "research agenda". Similar to our research on #pioneercommunities, the point is that the emergence of media technologies cannot be understood without analysing the figurations of their social imaginaries. A nice overview of anthropomorphising AI narratives by @tante at #rp23: #AI „learns“, „works“ like the human brain, can „solve“ tests, will be „more intelligent“ than humans, „thinks“, „decides“, „understands“, „hallucinates“.

AI thus becomes a „sham subject“ - and this is the problem because AI is a form of #automation, which is enforced by humans.

This is also true for #ComAI and the #automation of #communication…
