So far, only 2,800 Threads accounts have turned on Federation. Of the ones I see, theyโ€™re quite active.

I suspect the reason for the minuscule federated accounts is because Threads users canโ€™t see replies from the Fediverse yet. Why would you turn on federation if youโ€™re oblivious to interactions from the Fediverse?

Nevertheless, weโ€™ll see what happens once communication becomes two-way.

Iโ€™ve had a very rough day. Mom โ€œseemedโ€ to be dying. Death rattle and all. Then suddenly she woke up, and is now happily chit-chatting with her grandson on the phone. I feel like an emotional yoyo right now. Fortunately the cat is keeping me company.

Ugh. I had some violent coughs a couple of hours ago, and now my hernia surgery site is suddenly very sore and irritated. Terrified I may have reinjured it. That would be just the perfect suck to finish out a really miserable health year for me.

Does your Chrome browser often stall loading Mastodon Deck interface at random? Iโ€™ve been reporting this to @Gargron and the devs for months. I cannot believe itโ€™s unique to me (bugs like this never have been). You can read more about it on github. If itโ€™s happening to you, please comment there. It might help them figure out the cause.
