It's 2024, and I still play a ton of Wolfenstein 3D every year. It's just a perfect game. My memory's not great though, and it's weird I STILL don't have much memorized even after playing these maps SO MANY times.
Right now I have the Xbox 360 version paused on my Series X in the living room and it's been sitting like that for a day or two, so Wolf 3D music is just quietly playing in the background. I realized I'm cool with this. My brain's always in Castle Wolfenstein killing digital Nazis anyway, why not have it as background music for daily life. 🤣😂🤣
Got a funny screenshot the other day. Not sure I've ever spotted when I've been exactly at 1% life but it happened and I caught it!
Microsoft has announced that the XBox 360 online store will be closing next year. I guess it's no surprise given that it's an 18 year old console. I still have mine under the TV though it doesn't get switched on much any more. Are there any XBox Live Arcade exclusives I should snag before it dies?
And yes, I think #Valve should fix this on the #SteamDeck, since there is no excuse to handle #Storage worse than the #Xbox360 did, which nowadays just accepts any media up to 2TB via USB 2.0 and just allows formatting it.
You may not hot-swap said drives, but it supports using basically anything from a shitty flashdrive to an obnoxiously loud 10.000rpm HDD up to a modern SSD in a USB enclosure...
This is the most expensive game i own. it sucks, but at some point an absolute fool paid $969 for this game, i guess because despite sucking it is rare and obscure. I wrote a bit about the game's history and terrible port quality on Cohost, and a few people there shared some additional info about the devs.
Anyway, since posting this the price of Sakura Flamingo Archives has fallen to $450 or so. Did this post have anything to do with the price drop? Probably not but I'm gonna take credit for it anyway :ichika_bubble: #shmups#xbox360#gamecollecting
I'm looming for a thiny #Thumb#Keyboard (kinda lie a 60% or 40% board that is tiny) that connects via #USB (wired!) to any host device.
Kinda like the #Dreamgear#MiniKey or the #Xbox360#ChatPad but it needs to be either FLOSH or at least be still made to this day AND work natively as Keyboard.
