Making progress on the turtle mount after spending a lot of time relearning anatomy for the rider. Currently using my hard surface 3D skills to make clean geometry to take into zbrush later for detailing.
I started making some #StarTrek#TOS era #3D#fanart , still #WIP, but I'll definitely do a cool image and a little animation with these two ships when they're done!
Doing a study on social engagement for non-Mastodon-content-focused accounts that cross-post almost the same content on both platforms.
(BTW the best practice for doing this to my mind is posting original content HERE and crossposting it THERE, but that's not the point of this exercise)
I want to compare social engagement for big and small accounts and work on a ratio to compare engagement apples to apples.
Does anyone do this, or recommend accounts I look at that do?
“Rotunda” an 11x14 acrylic on board #wip. A friend of my daughter has nicknamed Tortuga Rotunda and has commissioned me to paint her portrait. This is the initial blocking. #art#MastoArt#CatsOfMastodon#AcrylicPainting
Ok had to throw in the towel today after four hours of trying to get him finished, I am so close! Just a few small details left. I'm really pleased with how it's looking but my eyes can't focus so I'm leaving it until tomorrow
Looking to get off Twitter. The one thing really keeping me there is the larger community of poets, who are inventive and fascinating but also incredibly resistant to change. So if you're on Mastodon, and a poet, and I don't follow you, hit me up so I can change that.
Great thing about hashtags on mastodon is you can see, as you’re typing, how many people are actively using it. #poetry is really popular in general, things like #AmWriting, #WIP#art can be generalized clarifiers. Tags like #SmallPoems and #haiku are more focused, but sometimes have limited reach.
I hope everyone has a good Monday so far, over here it's cold (2°C) and I need more coffee.
Here's a work in progress for you, a butterfly appropriately called Comma. The outer side looks like a dried leaf, except for a white spot on the hind wings shaped like a C.
days 39-40 of my #100DaysChallenge of drawing animals. I continued working on some watercolors and more intentionally to be finished stuff - with the result that except for the elephants that were actually finished at this point, the rest is still languishing in my room in the same state like, 2 weeks or so later. Gah. I hope I'll have the energy to actually finish them this week!
