Last week i used Vivaldi exclusively on Windows,Linux and iPhone and this week spent back on Brave and while i like their (Braves) privacy features and believe they offer more in this regard than Vivaldi their crypto focus is a big annoyance of mine.
So today went back to Vivaldi and one major annoyance really is how adress url autocomplete works so the upcoming 6.2 update should adress that and can´t come soon enough.
And no reader view on iPhone yet in Beta. Submitted a FR for it through TF feedback but im assuming it will come at some point. Oh, and sync of search engines does not work but hopefully it is also being worked on.
But Vivaldi on iPhone is shaping up quite nicely
And secondly why is there no merch shop in EU? 😅 I´d be happy to support with a purchase. But shipping and tax to get anything into Sweden from USA is a bit too much for me. Your HQ is next door (country wise) so not having shipping within EU is a bummer.

After the release of Vivaldi 6.6 on Android, our efforts to unify menus and toolbars led to unintended consequences.

"Microsoft Edge now leaks the address of every web page you visit straight to Microsoft Bing. This appears to be a bug with one of the many extra features Microsoft has been cramming into Edge over the past few years. We’ve had enough." https://www.howtogeek.com/888506/stop-using-microsoft-edge/
#Cats and the #internet are as good a match as #Vivaldi and the internet. So why not make it into a trio?
On this #InternationalCatDay, we hope you get your daily dose of cute, funny and just plain wonderful cat content on the internet through the Vivaldi browser.
Opinion: #Vivaldi#VivaldiBrowser needs stricter #Privacy . If they are really all about privacy then they should have test results similar to Brave (https://privacytests.org/nightly.html). I understand they they say that “they only block known trackers” or whatever but seriously, if you really want good privacy why not just block everything?
The Home button and Panel button are back on Android!
After the release of Vivaldi 6.6 on Android we got to see first-hand how much you care about your browser. You raised your voice and shared your opinion with good reason.
We made a mistake.
You made it clear to us that the removal of the Home and Panel buttons, for those with the address bar at the bottom of your screen, was not something you wanted.
That's why, as of today, both buttons are back.
Our mission is to build a browser that adapts to you, and to do this we rely on feedback from everyone who uses our products.
Happy birthday to #Linux's :debian: #Debian distribution, which was established on this day 30 years ago by Ian Murdock. 🎉 🥳
We're proud to have been available on Debian since the very first version of :vivaldi_red: #VivaldiBrowser. :tony_wee:
#vivaldibrowser@Vivaldi When adding bookmarks on the fly to folders, (from the address bar) it no longer shows anything but the exact thing I am typing at the moment into the search - so it's difficult for someone with a bad memory and lots of folder nesting - not sure if it's a bug, or something others are experiencing. Would love to know, thanks 😊🙏
I just tried Vivaldi (mainly to try their RSS reader) and I'm delighted with it so far.
The ad blocking not only stops the ad, it lays out the site without the big blank chunks. Nice. Pages just load without the content dancing up and down while you wait for the ad layouts to get parsed.
At work I need a #Browser with Chromium Devtools. So I'm about to switch from Chrome as a work browser (finally). Chrome extension support is mandatory.
Brave is out obviously. Edge is a cluttered mess these days. Is #VivaldiBrowser still a good option?
