A significant thank you to an incredibly generous member of our little community.
I've never played this one before, but I am very excited to give it a go! Could not be more thankful to [you know who you are] and it will be loved here 🙏❤️🥰
And with that… I’m done with Octopath Traveler 2. I know there’s some post-final chapters epilogue story and boss, but after 80 hours, I think I’m done. I’m beat.
Score: C+
Good: Combat and graphics.
Bad: Random battles, short dungeons, 1000 boss fights, fractured story lines, & annoying party management.
I know it's weird... but it's indiedev. It so happened that the Erra: Exordium game for Nintendo will have two release dates. The game is already on sale today for the American region, for others on May 23
In 2023, McDonald's in China released a special Tetris LCD handheld that is shaped like a chicken nugget. For some reason, this was the tie-in for the 40th anniversary of the Chicken McNugget.
I wanted it immediately.
But, as I did not live in China and knew no one who could import such things for me at the time, I could not. So, I waited.
At Magfest, earlier this year, I saw this prize sitting on a shelf, mocking me. At nearly 50 bucks, I was tempted, but unwilling to buy it.
I forgot about it for a while when 7-Eleven announced their own new Tetris tie-in handheld, this time on a Slurpee cup. It reminded me of my long wanted chicken nugget handheld.
I went to eBay and found someone with a relatively high rating, selling them for less than 15 USD including shipping. So, I bought one. That was early April.
It arrived this week.
It's as beautiful as I expected.
No, but seriously, it's a functional LCD handheld that you can play Tetris on. It's adorable. It is literally easier to play Tetris on this, than on my phone.
Also, it's classic mode so if there is not space for the Tetromino block to do spin - it won't spin.
Anyway - short version: I imported for myself the Chicken McNugget Tetris game and it's silly fun.
Y’all. We’re doing it. I took out all the test data, put in the Real Stuff, and I’m testing the full game. It’s fun! I also have a bug list as long as my arm now. #indiedev#gamedev#videogames#gaming#pixelart#vaporwave
this post came from an osu map someone posted of an israeli song, and holy shit the comments just EXPLODED with unnecessary, unwanted & unfilitered political blabberings about "free palestine", "israel is a terrorist', whatever the fuck, you get the idea.
osu, !!!! or any other game for that matter !!!!, is not the place to discuss your political beliefs. take your dumb bullshit elsewhere.
...Konami of America senior vice presidents discomfort with the religious connotations of the title Akumajō Dracula, which he believed translated as "Dracula Satanic Castle". 🧛
🕹️ Trivia about the game consoles of our childhood
Testing of a preliminary prototype of objects on water and an electrical anomaly. Just two months ago, I couldn't have imagined that I would be able to do that things... Unreal Engine 5 = incredible technologies
On my lunch today I began a new settlement in Manor Lords. I could think of no better inspiration for the village name (and lord o' the manor) than Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld, which was suggested during our stream.
Llamedos is growing nicely. Even if it does seem to rain near incessantly
I added a collision with some objects to the anomaly to create an arc and affect them. I got a bunch of ideas for anomaly behavior, interaction with the hero, level design. Maybe it's similar to S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but I confess, I've never played this game
Morning Folks! Yesterday I transitioned over into World Tier III in #Diablo4 Season 4, and am starting to feel confident at an attempt to complete the World Tier IV dungeon.
Also noticed that Blizzard has both a free trial available on Battle.net and has the game on sale for $35. It is also part of Gamepass now for those folks. They seem to really want folks back.
So, given the kinda joke about people hating phone calls, yet using voice chat in games, I can't help wondering what people's preferences may be on chatting in games.
When you play online games, which do you lean towards when it comes to text/voice chat, or other options I didn't fit here, contextual pinging (e.g. Apex Legends), emotes, or voice/chat commands (e.g. Team Fortress 2/AoE 2)?
Will start a little series here about me browsing this Club Nintendo issue from July 1995 (Nintendo Power in the US). 📖
I explicitly bought this one recently because I have so fond childhood memories. It must have been one of the few I owned and therefore read endless times. I still remember so much of the content and now I'm excited to refresh these memories.
The cover shows Asterix & Obelix, a PAL exclusive game series. 🐗
I remember being overwhelmed by the colorful graphics. I only owned a Game Boy at this time and imagined how much fun it would be to play such a graphically impressing game. Unfortunately my friends didn't own a SNES neither, so it remained an imagination for a long time.
Although you never could play most of the games presented in such magazines even reading the articles and imagine playing it was fun.
