I FINISHED MY FIRST GAME JAM!!! I'm extremely lucky to have had a wonderful team, and I think our game fluffulis is really pretty amazing for the short time we had to make it! I would love to hear what you think of it if you give it a try ❤️ #gamedev#unity3d#unity#3D#blender3d
I'm still working on some updates for it, and as such it's still isn't perfect. But if you are interested in a simple Newtonian arcade space shooter, my game Flank Speed is available on Steam. Kind of a modern take on the classic game "Space War". With multiplayer in the works.
I will soon change my job to become an independant #Unity teacher and I will open a YouTube channel + insta + tiktok + twitch to show some #unity3d content like tutorials.
Do you think I also should open a Twitter account ?
@Fangh Why teach #Unity3d when the space is already overcrowded and the company is in the process of self imploding?
I'd personally be much more interested in niche tools like #monogame or anything open source really.
A lot of #unity devs I know are also jumping ship to #godotengine which is becoming very popular.
The time of unity being the top game engine is on the decline, I'd say.
@Fangh@AngryAnt Even if there is money to be made, don't you think that's a bit dishonest to be teaching a new generation of game developers a tool that is obviously on the decline? These people often don't know their options or the state of the #gamedev industry
IMO #Unity sets up new devs to fail through overly-simplistic tutorials, and have been doing so on purpose for years. Compound this by subpar tools "fixed" by paid asset store tools... #Unity3d is really old. Let it die. #indiedev
The Low Poly #GameDev Bundle is a large collection of low-poly 3D assets from Eldamar Studios and Animpic Studio. Usable in #UnrealEngine, #Unity3d, #GodotEngine and more.
Low Poly Game Dev Humble Bundle – GameFromScratch.com
There is a new Humble of interest to #gamedev. The Epic Environments Mega Bundle is a huge collection of assets (2350+) for #UnrealEngine and #Unity3d, although as you will see in the video, exporting to #GodotEngine is easy enough.
