Solaria, Luna, & Estelle, freshman roommates at Arcturus Academy of Magic Arts, each brought a magical dorm-warming item. Solaria's family were laborers: they gave her a little cookpot that always had food in it.
Luna's father had done well as an accountant with the East Lanka Chamomile Company, & she brought a Sack of Holding out of which she pulled bedding & a wardrobe.
Estelle, however, took the prize with a Grandmother's #Trunk. It contained a whole alphabet of goods. #wss366#microfiction
The thick trunk of a tree covered in moss, small ferns and many, many other plants. The bark is barely visible in places. Taken in the gardens at Palácio dos Biscainhos in Braga, Portugal on a cloudy and rainy day.
"New developers tend to make more mistakes and have lower performance, whereas developers with 16+ years of experience take full benefit of trunk-based development and perform better overall."
Finally for #Pontneddferchan and apropos nothing in particular, this fallen #tree#trunk across the #footpath just seemed interesting to look at with its jagged surface, fibrous structure and colour contrasting with verdant surroundings.
A birch trunk frames a view in the Denver Botanic Garden. This is an amazing garden very near downtown Denver. I wasn’t sure if it was too early in the Spring to have enough blooms to photograph but all the spring bulbs and trees were in flower. We had a wonderfully temperate, sunny day in which to explore the entire site. One section was under refurbishment, but this will give us something new to see when we return.
I'm going to stop you right there. When I look around Fediverse, I see people chatting with friends, making new ones, connecting with old ones, people sharing their fun, their fears, their anger, their sadness. I see people asking for help, offering to help, wondering if they need help. I see a microcosm of humanity.
I don't need to wait for Fedi to succeed, because, in my view. It. Already. Has.
Hey, it's kind of weird I'm just now thinking of this, after all these years, but: does anyone think there should be a list for #blind and #VisuallyImpaired people on #Trunk? We do have one for #accessibility, but not all of us post abut that, and that's OK! And while a big chunk of us are scattered among a few obvious instances, there's more out there, and perhaps it'd be nice to connect better?
Or perhaps something a little less narrow? A list for all physically #disabled people, or even all #disability stuff in general?
If you're not sure what Trunk is, look at this first: https://communitywiki.org/trunk
She’s far from the smallest, or youngest, member of our Voi orphan herd, but it’s safe to say Lemeki still acts like the baby of the bunch.
Ever since her rescue, as a genuine baby, she’s loved swinging her trunk - a very happy at heart individual, which is credit to the Keepers who've raised her since she was only days old.
