When I discovered this cassette of piano recordings I knew I had to sample and use it in an experimental track.
Track Notes - Excursions from the EPHEMERRATA (EP)
This track is the feeling of being awakened by piano practice, which may be an experience particular to those with musicians in the family, or piano teachers, or both. I utilized my own recordings of Samuel Barber’s Excursions which I made when I was 16. The piano enters the consciousness haltingly at first and then evolves into something electronic and beyond.
Got about an hour of studio time today for the first time in way too long. Need to get myself back in the habit of gravitating towards the synths instead of the computer.
I've started systematic album listening with The Knife and Fever Ray. I'm interested in their balance between #electronica and #pop, volume and flexibility of lyrics, effects on #synths and vocals, #music mainstream and not.
This a digital AnneX
to The Testamentum ANTOLOGÍA SIGLO XXI Cassette.
Including a few more rarities, Too CooL experiments, forgotten links, forgotten speechs, deleted tracks, and other ShiT that you can only find on Mixes and some old soundcloud obsolete accounts.

When critiquing older #music, we have to remember that novelty is relative to time. The post-#radio era has seen rapid development of the medium, with new sounds being developed constantly. We may no longer appreciate the constant #synths of the 80s or the #disco of the 70s, but at the time, these were sounds that had never been heard before, and musicians were experimenting.
Yeah, 90% or what's on the radio has always been garbage, but it's new and interesting garbage.
This new #HaniaRani album is so good. All at once it is classical and electronic... mellow yet powerful. So lush and subtle and wonderful!
"This album builds on Rani’s earlier successes Esja and Home with an expanded yet still minimal setup of #piano, #keyboards, #synths (most importantly her #Prophet) and features more of her mysterious, bewitching voice."
Here the full video of my performance at TEMOM Monday night! It was a blast playing live. I had a prepared patch and sequenced lines, and the fun thing that happened was when I triggered the drum machine it was set to a different pattern than I expected! 😬So it really went in a different (and good, I think) direction. Than anticipated.
As my studio is currently in bits and I'm on a new instance I hope I can get away with a cheeky repost of a jam I did a couple of years ago. Drums and "bass" samples are from a mate's 909 I recorded many years ago.
Also featured are Behringer TD-3 and RD-6, Korg MS-10, Sequential Sixtrak and a DIY delay unit.🔊🎶
So I'm starting up the #BandCamp recommendations thread.
Please feel free to recommend your own work, your friends work or just something cool you would like to share. If it's on BandCamp it's welcome in the thread.
Arjen Schat has got you covered with this sublime third installment of their "Extragalactic Sessions", though honestly if you enjoy this you really should check out all four chapters in the, (ongoing?), series...
