Me and #RubiaTheCat spent most of this fine #Caturday figuring out how to make an instrument for @dhilowitz's excellent #DecentSampler plugin.

For a first attempt we sampled the #vibraphone patch on my 40-year-old #Casio Casiotone MT-70 synth.

It'd be lovely if someone who uses DecentSampler could give it a test run and send feedback my way!

Now that the #bonk is out of the bag, erm box, I can finally reveal the secret weapon that I specifically acquired for the occasion:

The Casiotone MT-70 is one of only six sine wave based #Casio synths, released in 1982. This makes its sound palette quite limited, but unique.

Its accompaniment section has a few tricks up its sleeve, especially the arpeggio mode, which I will show off in the video in the second post.

When Company Flow first dropped, I really appreciated their Independent As Fuck stance. Seems like a good starting point for some creative endeavors.

Also it just sounded so amazingly gritty.
