Box-WM-Kampf in Riad: Am Ende gewinnt Saudi-Arabien
Saudi Arabia has locked in golf, tennis and other sports with very large amounts of money. Sports washers have overcome any moral or ethical considerations with, well tons of cash. Given the climate, basketball must be on the radar. How much for say, a Lebron on a 1yr deal? #nba#sport#sportswashing
His name was Jamal Khashoggi.
He was a journalist and critic of the Saudi regime.
He was lured to the Saudi embassy in Turkey where he was murdered and dismembered.
The man on whose orders this was done now owns Newcastle United and is about to be feted by the UK government.
A reminder: Mohammed Bin Salman, the ultimate owner of Newcastle United, is a murderous tyrant to rival Putin. Not only does he direct the killing and dismemberment of journalists such as Jamal Khashoggi, his regime systematically represses women and girls as well as LGBTQI+ people. They are buying up parts of western cultural life like the Magpies and golf to create an air of respectability and make it harder for free governments to hold them to account.
