Amidst the enchanting misty morning in the Florida Everglades, a solitary road meandered into the soft loy lieing fog, bathed in the golden sunlight, as life on the wetland unfolded, painting the scene in the colors of dawn.
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with weary feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

“We must not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we began and to know the place for the first time.” -T. S. Eliot
I've walked down this particular dirt road many times before, but never before had I experienced the enveloping warm glow of the turning leaves quite like this. The overcast but bright sky lent a real softness to the scene.

So this is how some street names in York (England) end on -gate: Coppergate, Fossgate, Micklegate, and so on. Because Yorkshire used to be Jorvik, a Norse kingdom.
Yesterday I went into more local woodland (Heaton woods) to see what colours there were. It didn't look too bad really. This road is very narrow but used to be busy. However the counciled close it a couple of years ago and now won't reopen it which is great news and nice to walk along it in quietness #autumn#fall#bradford#yorkshire#road#landscape#photo#photography
