This ancient city was commercially developed in the first century by colonial #Roman olive producers. By the end of the 4th century it had separated from the #RomanEmpire and collapsed, perhaps by earthquake; abandoned in the 11th century after it became a Muslim dynastic center.
The old fort in #Helsinki harbor has been preserved to maintain the look of 19th century Russian occupation. It's a short ferry ride from old Helsinki and a popular destination for families to visit.
